Graduates of this study programme are prepared to operate independently in the sports industry and to pursue senior management positions in a wide range of sports organisations. They are equipped with the essential expertise to manage sports organisations, sports facilities, and sporting events.
They demonstrate a strong understanding of current theoretical concepts and methods in sports management. Graduates are also able to independently identify and define research problems in the field of sport and use scientific methods to collect and analyse the data needed to address them.
They can apply their knowledge and skills in both for-profit and non-profit sports organisations, as well as in public institutions, contributing to the development of both professional and amateur sport.
The Master’s degree programme aims to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the latest sports management strategies and to develop the skills required for the professional management of sports organisations and projects. Graduates will be able to carry out key management functions such as planning, organising, directing, controlling, budgeting, and evaluating within a wide range of sports contexts.
They will also be able to conduct systematic research into sport-related business and management issues, using a critical and selective approach to various data sources, research materials, and appropriate methodologies.
