There were a total of 2,443 students studying at the faculty in 2024. Of these, 68.7 % were in bachelor’s programs, 27.9 % in master’s programs and 3.3 % in doctoral programs.

In 2024, the faculty organized a total of 83 continuing education courses, including leisure-time courses for students and the general public, as well as courses for applicants, physical activities for children and youth, activities for the elderly, and courses for coaches and teachers. The range of courses on offer grows every year, and so does the number of graduates, which has more than tripled over the past four years.

The percentage of children and youth aged 5-24 who participate in organized sporting activities is 21%, which represents nearly 483,000 people, according to 2023 data from the Czech Statistical Office, with boys making up 64 % of this group.

Only one-third of the Czech population regularly engages in sports, fitness, or leisure physical activity - that is, at least once a week for 10 minutes at a time - which is below the European average.

The average healthy life expectancy for both men and women in the Czech Republic is roughly the same, at an average of 72.4 years. To maintain physical and mental health, the World Health Organization recommends that people over the age of 65 engage in at least 150–300 minutes of physical activity per week. The Faculty Center for Active Senior Lifestyle organizes physical and educational activities that promote a healthy and high-quality life for seniors.
