Fitness Coach

Bachelor's Degree Programme (3 Years, Full-Time)

Graduate profile

Graduates of the programme focus on designing and implementing fitness programmes. They gain knowledge in pedagogy, psychology, biomedicine, sports training, and nutrition. This understanding of general didactic principles enables graduates to create and apply fitness and excercise programmes with a variety of goals for different groups and populations.

Programme characteristics

The study programme focuses on the development of key biomotor abilities. The curriculum includes theoretical courses in pedagogy and psychology, physiology and adaptation, biomechanics, and sports training. These theoretical foundations are subsequently applied and developed in practice-oriented courses in areas such as strength training, athletics, gymnastics, and other sports disciplines. Graduates are qualified to design and implement excercise programmes with specific goals for various target groups.

The study plan enables students to understand the essential principles of applied sport sciences, alongside the development of basic motor skills during the first and partly the second year of study. These foundations are further applied in specialised didactic courses during the second and third years, together with practical sports training.
