The library is closed during the summer holidays.
| Monday to Friday | 9 am. - 4 pm. |
You can pick up books in the blue reservation box, or return books to the red bibliobox (both are in the hallway by the library).
The services of Charles University Libraries are accessible on the basis of a UK ID card.
After obtaining the card, you register by filling in an electronic application form.

The Discovery service allows you to search printed, digitized, and electronic information resources available at Charles University simultaneously, even without logging in. Once logged in, you can view and renew your loans.

The electronic resources portal provides access to information about all electronic information resources (EIR) available at Charles University. Students and faculty members of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport at Charles University also have access to the following databases through the EIR:

A leading full-text database of biomedical and healthcare journals, including sports medicine.

A multidisciplinary database of e-books containing both Czech and foreign titles, including those in the fields of sports management and marketing, as well as sports psychology.

A digital hub for the study of sports and exercise. It features a collection of e-books and videos with cross-search capabilities from the world’s leading educational publisher in the fields of fitness, exercise, coaching, and sports.

This strength training app provides 3D anatomical videos of strength training exercises, helps you visualize muscle movements, understand common mistakes made at the gym, and teaches you how to prevent and treat exercise-related injuries.

An international bibliographic and citation database.

A multidisciplinary abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed academic literature.

A collection of specialized e-books from leading publishers. The titles cover topics such as the philosophy of sport, bioethics, doping, sport and sustainable development, and media and sport.

A full-text collection of e-books.

Interactive educational materials in the fields of biomechanics, physiology, anthropomotricity, sports training research, and more.

It contains e-publications and multimedia study materials for students at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Charles University.

Open Science Support
- The library is an open communication environment with a mission to support education and provide facilities for the development of quality curricula, scholarship, cutting-edge research and international collaboration.
- The library's collection focuses on sports sciences, kinanthropology, biomedicine, sustainable health and physiotherapy, as well as humanities, sports history, pedagogy and management. The library serves not only the students and staff of the University but also the public.
