Esports Center was part of the most successful year of Comic-Con Prague
Esports Center of Faculty of Physical Education and Sport was part of the most successful year of Comic-Con Prague to date, which attracted over 28,000 people. Over the course of three days, we gave visitors the chance to experience GSPORT firsthand and demonstrated that the combination of gaming and physical activity has a solid place even at the largest pop culture event in the Czech Republic.
At the faculty booth, visitors could measure their grip strength on a dynamometer, test their reflexes on Blazepods, or navigate the GSPORT obstacle course, which tested their strength, coordination, accuracy, and ability to perform under pressure. Thanks to the faculty collaboration with the Czech Army, they also had the chance to try their hand at shooting at a laser shooting range.
Visitors could also participate in a contest - after completing all the stations, they were entered into a drawing for prizes. The exhibition also featured a presentation of the activities of the FPE&S Esports Center and the Digital Tools for Health Promotion in Esports project, which interested visitors could sign up for right on the spot.

The highlight of the entire program was Sunday and the 3rd annual Comic-Con GSPORT Cup, which once again combined gaming with physical challenges. Teams from the Czech Army, the Czech Police, the Fire and Rescue Service, and Charles University participated in the tournament. On the main stage, they competed in Call of Duty and then put their skills to the test in the physical part of the competition on the GSPORT obstacle course. This year’s edition saw the highest level of interest and attendance in the tournament’s history, confirming that this format resonates strongly not only with fans but also with professional organizations.
After a one-year break, the Prague Hunters returned to victory. The Charles University CU Kings Esport team takes home an excellent 3rd place.
Comic-Con Prague 2026 once again demonstrated that GSPORT can appeal to a wide range of visitors—from fans and students to members of the integrated rescue system. For the FPE&S Esports Center, this is further confirmation that the combination of gaming, physical activity, and education makes sense and has a firmly established place even outside the academic environment.
