Intensive program - Erasmus
 

Erasmus intensive program (IP), called

NON-PHARMACOLOGICAL MANAGEMENT OF OBESITY IN CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS IN AN INTERDISCIPLINARY CONTENT,

in the presence of teachers and students from the Czech Republic, Finland, the Netherlands, Portugal and Turkey, will take place between 8th and 21st May 2011, in Prague, Czech Republic.

Important dates

Arrival Date: 8. 5. 2011

Departure Date: 21. 5. 2011

Teaching sessions: from 9. 5. 2011 to 20. 5. 2011 (with a free weekend).

Teaching sessions will take place at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport,

Registration:

Each university has to send 10 students to attend the IP.

Travel costs

Travel costs include the cost from “home university” to the place, where the IP takes place.

Maximum paid travelling costs have been approved as follows:

From Finland to the Czech Republic: 300 €

From the Netherlands to the Czech Republic: 250 €

From Portugal to the Czech Republic: 300 €

From Turkey to the Czech Republic: 331 €

The IP covers max 75 % of the travelling costs for participating students and teachers. The costs will be paid to each university’s account after the IP, upon receiving original receipts. Each university will invoice the Charles University within o­ne month after the IP has ended. In the invoice should be included:

  • A “Traveller’s Expenses” – form with original travelling receipts (including boarding passes) of each student and teacher (enclosed) /eng/erasmus/travellers_expences2011.doc
  • One invoice per participating university to the Charles University

Insurance

Please note, that each university is responsible for all the insurance of the attending staff and students. All incoming persons should have European Health Care Insurance with them. We recommend arranging supplementary insurance of medical expenses with your insurance company.

Accommodation

All participants, teachers and students, will be accommodated at the Hotel Krystal, situated not far from the Faculty. Please see: http://www.prague-hotel-krystal.cz/ for more info. Students will be staying in 2- bed rooms. A single room has been reserved for the teachers. Breakfast is included.

Transport

How to get to the faculty?

If you are travelling from the airport, take a bus marked 119 or 179. Get off at the „Divoká Šárka“ bus stop and take a 5-minute walk, or take a tram marked 20 or 26 and go for o­ne stop.

If you travel from the Main Railway Station or from the Holešovice Railway station in Prague, take the Metro to the „Dejvická” metro station. From there take a tram marked 20 or 26 and go to the „Vozovna Vokovice“ tram stop.

If you travel from the „Dejvická“ metro station in Prague 6, take a tram marked 20 or 26, and get off at the „Vozovna Vokovice“ tram stop.

Internet

All participants will have access to internet at the time of IP.

·Free wifi in the area in front of the classroom

·For teachers 2 PCs with a printer


Social programme for students:

Cultural and social programmes (theatre, sport activities etc.) is prepared for the participants.

Boarding of students

Students have to pay for boarding, except breakfast. Price per lunch in student’s hall is approximately 3 EUR.
