FAQ

The most common questions the exchange students ask

How many courses (subjects) do I have to complete to get the number of credits required by the university?

Each course is marked with the appropriate code, which also includes the number of credits awarded and the semester the course is taught in. Consult the list of COURSES IN DETAIL presented on our website and select the courses of your interest. Please, pay special attention to the codes to see how many credits each of the courses you select takes. The number of credits required by all partner universities per one semester is usually 30.

Am I allowed to choose courses included in different programmes?

Yes, you are. You can also select courses included in curricula of different years of the same programme.

When can I receive the time-table of the courses?

You will make the time-table on your arrival with the assistance of your Erasmus/Socrates coordinator.

What assessments are students expected to undertake?

In the Czech Republic most courses combine a range of teaching methods such as lectures, seminars, tutorials, laboratory sessions, field trips, clinical practice and work placements. The assessments are commonly based on a mixture of exams, either written or oral, course work and seminar papers.
